Mumbai Indians have edged to a five-wicket win over the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League, inflicting a first defeat of the season on their opponents.
The Kings XI openers were both out within four overs, including Virender Sehwag, who was run out for just a single run after facing only two balls.
However, Wriddhiman Saha, who finished 59 not out, and Glenn Maxwell built a 69-run partnership for the third wicket.
Harbhajan Singh was the only Mumbai bowler to claim more than one wicket, finishing the innings with 2-34 as the home side were set a target of 169 for victory.
In reply, Ben Dunk was caught behind by Saha during the opening over, while Ambati Rayudu followed shortly after to reduce the Indians to 23-2.
Rohit Sharma and Corey Anderson provided some resistance in the middle order, but the captain was caught behind for 39 to leave Punjab 123-4.
Needing five off the final over for victory, Kieran Pollard hit a six off the first ball to secure the win for Mumbai, costing Kings XI top spot in the table.
