England draw with Australia A

The tour match between Australia A and England ends in a draw after the home side finish on 119-3 in Hobart.

England have drawn their rain-affected Ashes warm-up match with Australia A after the home side finished day four on 119-3.

It was a predictable result after two days were lost to rain, with day four being played to give members of England's squad a chance to earn some match practice ahead of the Ashes.

Joe Root scored 58 as England declared on 430-7, but Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen and Gary Ballance all failed to reach double figures.

The tourists spent the final 31 overs of the match handing time to their bowlers to test Australia's batsmen on the Hobart pitch, and captain Alastair Cook will be relatively happy with their three-wicket haul.

James Anderson picked up two wickets in his seven-over spell, while Graeme Swann recorded figures of 1-27 off six overs as the game petered out into a draw.
