Former England captain Michael Vaughan has insisted that Saturday's Champions Trophy match against Australia will be more important for the visitors.
Vaughan said that England would not gain or lose much with either result, but a win would give Australia a big boost ahead of the Ashes series that starts in July.
"I don't think Saturday will affect England too much with regard to the rest of the summer, whatever happens," BBC Sport quotes Vaughan as saying.
"However, I think it could be a huge confidence booster for Australia if they go out and beat England. I think it is what they need.
"There is a lot of change from their one-day side to their Test side, but there is a nucleus there that is set to be a part of that first Test on July 10."
England won the last Ashes series 3-1.
