Allan Lamb believes that England should beat Australia without trouble in the home Ashes series.

Former England captain Allan Lamb has stated his belief that England will beat Australia comfortably in the upcoming Ashes series.

Lamb said that while Australia should never be written off, on paper England have the much stronger side and their opponents are not working as a team.

"I don't think England are going to have a problem," BBC Sport quotes Lamb as saying. "I would say 3-0. England's players are not talking about it but they can sense some blood coming on their hands.

"Never write off an Australian side. But looking at that side on paper, I don't think you'll have any sleepless nights over it.

"I sense there isn't unity in that side. They had all those problems when they sent players home from India. A lot of the former players don't feel like they've picked the right side."

The first Test gets underway at Trent Bridge on July 10.
