England batsman Jonathan Trott has urged the England and Wales Cricket Board and Kevin Pietersen to sort out their issues quickly.
Pietersen was recently dropped from the one-day international and Twenty20 squads following the texting row that engulfed the recent Test series against South Africa.
"Kev has got his reasons and the ECB have got their own reasons so they need to sort out whatever the middle ground is, draw a line and try to come to a conclusion on whether Kevin plays for England again," Trott told Sky Sports News.
"It is up to him what he wants to do and it is up to the ECB how they want to handle it.
"I can only speak for the guys in the changing room and myself, and I think everybody wants this sorted out so it is crystal clear where we all stand."
England coach Andy Flower recently said that more talks were needed between both parties to solve the problem.
