Reece Topley has admitted that his performances for England against Pakistan have come as a pleasant surprise.
The 21-year-old was impressive with the ball in the one-day international series win in UAE, taking six wickets across the four matches to help England to a 3-1 win.
England are likely to put their faith in the seamer once again during the three Twenty20 matches, and Topley is hopeful that he can continue to learn quickly on the international stage.
"I am very proud to be where I am and feel very privileged," the Essex bowler told reporters. "To get the series win and play how I have played is a surprise firstly and very pleasing.
"It's been tricky, that was the case all along. But I think I've learnt quite quickly since I have been here.
"The experience I've had through the England pathways from the academies and age groups has been put to practice."
England meet Pakistan in the first T20 in Dubai on Thursday.
