Rain forces umpires to call stumps on day one of the fourth Test between England and India at the Oval.

Just 26 overs of play were possible during the first day of the fourth Test between England and India at the Oval.

England won the toss and elected to bat, with captain Andrew Strauss scoring 38 and Alastair Cook hitting 34 in the morning session to leave the hosts 75-0 heading into the lunch break.

However, rain began to fall shortly after and no play was possible for the rest of the day, forcing the umpires to call stumps at 5.15pm.

Play is scheduled to start at the earlier time of 10.30am tomorrow morning.
