Team News: England unchanged for Scotland clash

England resist the temptation to make changes for their Pool A clash with Scotland at the World Cup.

England have decided against making any changes for the World Cup clash with Pool A rivals Scotland in Christchurch.

Eoin Morgan's side head into the game on the back of two defeats, but collapsing to 123 all out against New Zealand was not enough to persuade them to make changes to the batting lineup, which means that Gary Ballance once again bats at three behind the opening partnership of Moeen Ali and Ian Bell.

Scotland make two changes following their own defeat to New Zealand as Freddie Coleman and Alasdair Evans replace Hamish Gardiner and Rob Taylor.

Preston Mommsen won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Hagley Oval.

England: Moeen Ali, Ian Bell, Gary Ballance, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, James Taylor, Jos Buttler, Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Steven Finn, James Anderson

Scotland: Kyle Coetzer, Calum MacLeod, Freddie Coleman, Matt Machan, Preston Mommsen, Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross, Josh Davey, Majid Haq, Alasdair Evans, Iain Wardlaw
