Ex-England international Michael Vaughan has slammed England for being too predictable in one-day cricket, after they were soundly beaten by Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup on Sunday.
England scored 309 from their 50 overs thanks to a century from Joe Root, but Sri Lanka eased to a nine-wicket victory and Vaughan has hit out at the lack of variation displayed by England.
He told The Telegraph: "If I was managing a team to play against England I could sum up the opposition in two minutes and guarantee exactly what is going to come our way. But I bet England's team meetings are taking forever because you are never too sure what the opposition is going to throw at you with bowling changes, field settings or the batting lineup.
"With England you know it is set in stone what the batting order will be and the bowling plans. It is so predictable I am bored by talking about it or watching it."
England face Bangladesh next week.
