Michael Vaughan tells Australia: 'Pick George Bailey'

Michael Vaughan reveals his belief that George Bailey should be part of the Australia team for this winter's Ashes.

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan has encouraged Australia to select George Bailey for the upcoming Ashes series.

There is currently a large amount of speculation surrounding the inclusion of 31-year-old Bailey, who is yet to represent the Aussies at Test level.

However, Vaughan believes that the one-day international and Twenty20 skipper should be involved not only in the squad, but also in the starting lineup.

"George Bailey would be my No 6 for Australia in the Ashes. I would also make him vice-captain," Vaughan wrote on Twitter.

The first Ashes Test will get underway next month in Brisbane.
