Shane Bond, Paul Collingwood given England coaching roles for Ashes series

Former New Zealand bowler and ex-England one-day captain Paul Collingwood are added to England's coaching staff for the upcoming Ashes series.

England have announced that former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond and ex-England all-rounder Paul Collingwood have been added to the coaching staff for the winter series of the Ashes.

Bond, who represented the Black Caps in all formats of the game, will travel with the England squad to Australia and act as fast-bowling consultant for the first two Tests in Brisbane and Adelaide.

Collingwood, who captains Durham at county level, will be a member of the coaching setup for the Ashes series, as well as the one-day internationals.

The England and Wales Cricket Board named a 16-man squad for the series this morning, with vice-captain Ben Stokes included despite his recent arrest.

The Ashes campaign will begin towards the end of November and run until early January.
