Team GB canoeist James Styan has missed out on a spot in the C1 canoe single 1000m final at his first international event for Great Britain.
The 25-year-old progressed from his heat to reach the semi-finals at the European Games in Baku, but could only post the seventh fastest time in his semi, with only the top three going through.
Belarus's Maksim Paitrou set the pace, posting a competition-best time of 3:46.108, ensuring that he, Leonid Carp of Romania and France's Mathieu Goubel went through.
The final takes place tomorrow.
