Team GB's Rachel Cawthorn and Jennifer Egan of Ireland have both qualified for the women's K1 500m final at the European Games in Baku.
The British canoeist claimed victory in her semi-final, narrowly beating Azerbaijan's Inna Osipenko-Rodomska with a time of 1:48.028, which is more than five seconds quicker than her run in the heats earlier.
Egan went first in the other semi-final, posting a time of 1:52.536, and held on to clinch the seventh and final qualifying spot for tomorrow's final.
Serbia's Nikolina Moldovan posted the fastest time of the competition so far to win the first semi-final, completing the course in 1:47.856.
