Savannah Marshall: "I am gutted"

Team GB boxer Savannah Marshall admits that she is "gutted" after losing her first bout of the 2015 European Games on Friday.

Team GB boxer Savannah Marshall has revealed her disappointment after losing to Nouchka Fontijn in her first bout of the 2015 European Games on Friday.

Marshall lost all three rounds against her Dutch opponent, who the 24-year-old described as "world-class".

"I am gutted, I saw that I lost every round which I feel was a little harsh, but she was just a better boxer on the day," a dejected Marshall told reporters.

"It's the third time we have fought against each other and it's now 2-1 to her. To be fair she's world class and I think she will go on and win the tournament.

"I'm confident that she will go on and win so that makes it a little easier to take."

Marshall has struggled with a succession of injuries in recent months.
