Joe Ham hails home support

Scotland boxer Joe Ham hails the home support following his victory in the last-16 stage of the Commonwealth Games.

Scotland boxer Joe Ham has praised the crowd in Glasgow following his victory in the last-16 stage of the Commonwealth Games.

The bantamweight received a bye into the second round, where he overcame Nadir Nadir in front of a passionate support in the youngster's home city on Monday.

"Everyone said to me 'the crowd is unbelievable, the crowd is unbelievable' but now I have experienced that," he told Sports Mole.

"I didn't expect that, but the reception was, well the roof nearly came off."

Ham will meet England's Qais Ashfaq in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
