Anthony Joshua storms to win over Denis Bakhtov

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua captures the WBC international title with a second-round stoppage of Denis Bakhtov at the O2 Arena in London.

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua has stopped Denis Bakhtov inside two rounds to win the WBC international title.

Joshua, who has never been taken past three rounds, unleashed an array of heavy-hitting punches during a dominant opening round and it was only a matter of time before the fight came to a halt.

Despite Bakhtov, who has only been stopped on cuts in the past nine years, trying to battle on bravely, Joshua proved far too strong and the bout came to an end a minute into the second round.

The Olympic champion, who has now earned a world ranking with the WBC, will face Michael Sprott in Liverpool on November 22.
