Scott Quigg: 'Diego Silva is a big threat'

WBA super-bantamweight champion Scott Quigg insists that Argentina's Diego Silva will be a "big threat" when the two meet in Manchester on November 23.

WBA super-bantamweight champion Scott Quigg has insisted that he can't afford to take Diego Silva lightly when the two meet in the ring later this month.

Quigg will defend his world title against the Argentine at the Phones 4u Arena on November 23, and the Mancunian has revealed that he is expecting a different kind of fight to his draw with Yoandris Salinas in September.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Preparations are going well. Straight after the last fight, we had a couple of days off and then straight back in the gym. We have been studying Diego now for a couple of weeks and training is going very well.

"He is a big threat. He is a totally different style to Yoandris Salinas. He is very unorthodox, which means that you can't read him. He doesn't know what he is going to do next.

"He is one of them where you have got to make sure that you prepare right and fully focus and you can't afford any slip ups."

Silva has lost just two times in 31 professional bouts.
