Scott Quigg, Yoandris Salinas bout moved to October 5

Eddie Hearn confirms that Scott Quigg will now headline the October 5 card at the O2 Arena after his fight was postponed due to David Haye's injury.

Scott Quigg's WBA super bantamweight title fight with Yoandris Salinas has been rescheduled for October 5 following the cancellation of next week's show in Manchester.

The 24-year-old, who is champion on paper, was due to fight on the undercard to the British heavyweight showdown between David Haye and Tyson Fury.

Speaking at the Olympia in Liverpool, Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports News that the Bury fighter will not see his training go to waste.

"It's been a busy day," said Hearn. "We looked at all options and all roads led to the O2 Arena, where we believe Scott will be crowned world champion.

The October 5 card at the O2 Arena includes Olympic gold medallists Anthony Joshua and Luke Campbell.
