Police in Munich have confirmed that both Dereck Chisora and David Haye will be interviewed this morning after the pair clashed at a post-fight press conference following the former's defeat to Vitali Klitschko.
Chisora was reportedly detained at the Bavarian city's airport as he tried to board a plane to return to the UK.
The British boxers had come to blows with Chisora saying he would "shoot" and "physically burn" Haye after claiming he had hit him with a bottle.
A spokesman for German Police said: "The police have only just started an investigation in this this case. It is only at the very initial stages."
Both Chisora and Haye have now lost a world title fight to either of the Klitschko brothers, with Haye being defeated by Vitali's younger brother Wladimir last year.
The Klitschko brothers were also at the press conference watching the drama unfold and Wladimir spoke afterwards of his disappointment, telling BBC Sport: "I'm totally disappointed, it went a little too far, the sport of boxing shouldn't be like that.
"Bloody faces in the press conference... fighting in the ring, not out. I'm really surprised."
