Dereck Chisora reveals that he slapped Vitali Klitschko for messing up his career in recent months.

Dereck Chisora has revealed that he slapped Vitali Klitschko for messing up his career.

The incident happened during yesterday's weigh-in for the their fight this evening.

Chisora, 28, told talkSPORT that he struck his opponent for changing his plan in recent months, while also taking the opportunity to vow to do the same to Vitali's brother Wladimir and fellow Brit David Haye.

"Why [did I slap him]? Because they messed me up for the last 18 months of my career," said Chisora.

"They called Frank Warren Promotions saying they want to fight me. We say, 'yeah let's fight, let's get the deal done', and then the next minute they don't want to fight. I wasted my time waiting for them to give me another fight.

"I figured I owed those people who messed up my career like that. [Wladimir] is going to get a slap and another fighter is going to get a slap, as well as David Haye. I owe them all slaps."

Tonight's fight sees Klitschko put his WBC heavyweight title on the line.
