Floyd Mayweather Jr: 'Amir Khan is a nobody'

Floyd Mayweather Jr says that he will not fight Amir Khan because he has no profile, but reiterates an ambition to face Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather Jr has revealed that he has no intention of fighting England's Amir Khan because "his name holds no weight".

The Bolton-born fighter has set his sights on the undefeated 37-year-old after beating Devon Alexander to retain his WBC silver title in Las Vegas last weekend.

However, Mayweather Jr says that Khan's profile is too low to consider a bout, instead reiterating his desire to square off with Manny Pacquiao.

"The other night I think he did 4,000 [attendance], so, Amir Khan, his name holds no weight," he told reporters.

"No-one knows who Amir Khan is, except for people who are involved in boxing. My focus is Manny Pacquiao. Let's make it happen."

Mayweather, a five-division world champion with 10 titles, has won all 47 of his professional fights, 26 of which have come via knockout.
