British welterweight Amir Khan believes that a Wembley showdown with Manny Pacquiao could happen should both fighters miss out on a meeting with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Mayweather will reportedly name his next opponent over the Super Bowl weekend, but after the two met in London on Friday, the two-weight world champion believes that facing the WBO title holder later this year would make sense.
The 28-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "Even though we have that friendship, if it makes sense then, it's a fight that can certainly happen between us.
"I want to fight the biggest and best names out there and Manny is definitely among them."
Khan and Pacquiao sparred together when the 2004 Olympic silver medallist worked under trainer Freddie Roach.
