Danish super middleweight Mikkel Kessler has insisted that he is ready to battle Carl Froch for the second time after a deal was struck for a re-match between the pair in the UK.
Kessler defeated the Nottingham-born fighter in Denmark but the duo will go toe to toe in the ring towards the end of May this year.
"I promised Carl we would meet again and here we are, getting ready to leave it all in the ring for a second time," said Kessler.
"Since that first fight I have become even stronger. I am fresh, I am healthy and I am ready to defeat him once again. I don´t care where we fight, I said anytime, anywhere! I plan to make my loyal Viking fans, as well as everybody else in Denmark, very proud once again. I am ready for war!"
Froch added: "This is the fight that I want more than anything in the world. I put Mikkel up there as one of the great warriors in boxing and I am so excited about this fight and the chance to set the record straight against him."
Froch will head into the bout on the back of a victory over Yusaf Mack.
