Former WBO featherweight world champion Scott Harrison has been sentenced to four years in a Spanish jail after being found guilty of assault.
The 35-year-old Scot has already served a 30-month term for a separate incident in 2005 and only returned to the ring for the first time in nearly seven years in June, defeating Gyorgy Mizsei in Glasgow.
However, Harrison has now been found guilty at a trial in Malaga of assaulting three men in a brothel in 2007.
Harrison's father, Peter, has claimed that his son is the victim and will fight the sentencing.
"Scott will be appealing this, 100%," he told the Daily Record. "He has already said he is innocent and that remains the case.
"He's down but determined to clear his name. Scott is a victim here - and I'm not just saying that because I'm his dad."
Harrison is due to fight John Simpson at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow on December 1.
