The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has handed Michael Conlan a fine of £7,863 after his outburst in the aftermath of his defeat at the Olympic Games.
After suffering a controversial defeat to Vladimir Nikitin, Conlan claimed that he had been "cheated" by the officials, whose scoring was a hot topic for debate throughout the competition in Rio de Janeiro.
The Northern Irishman was critical of amateur boxing's governing body before making the decision to turn professional with Top Rank, but he was informed last month that he would still be punished by the AIBA.
Conlan has stated that he has no intention of answering any charge but that has not stopped the AIBA giving Conlan the hefty fine - the highest that can be imposed following its own rules.
After his bronze at London 2012, the 25-year-old had gone into the Games as one of the favourites to win gold in his weight category.
