A heavyweight showdown between Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte could take place in 2016 after both men expressed their desire to agree to a fight.
After Whyte said that he would welcome a meeting with Chisora, the former European champion responded on Twitter to state his willingness to hold talks regarding a potential match.
Surgery on his shoulder has ruled Whyte out until the early part of the summer, but with Chisora expected to compete against Robert Helenius in his next outing, a fight in June could make sense for both men.
In December, Whyte saw his unbeaten record come to an end in a seventh-round stoppage defeat to Anthony Joshua, while Chisora has put together a five-match winning streak against minor opposition since losing a world title eliminator to Tyson Fury in November 2014.
