Olympic champion boxer Katie Taylor has said that she "can't wait" to begin her competition at the European Games in Baku later this week.
The five-time world champion lightweight, who was Ireland's flagbearer at the opening ceremony, will be in action next Sunday when her event gets underway.
The 28-year-old told reporters: "It's going to be such a historical event with it being the first event in the European games, and you can't really get any bigger than that.
"I really can't wait to box and represent my country again in such a major competition. It's an absolute privilege that I have another chance to make history."
Taylor also has 19 caps for the Republic of Ireland Women's football side.
