Custio Clayton 'undecided' on headguard rule

Canadian Custio Clayton claims that the omission of headguards at the Commonwealth Games has not made a difference.

Canadian Custio Clayton has become the latest boxer to join the headguard debate at the Commonwealth Games.

A new rule before the Games prevented the use of headwear in the ring this summer, but Clayton does not believe that it has made too much difference.

"To me it's not a difference. Headguards are mainly for headbutts, but when you are fighting with people at this type of level, there are not many headbutts," Clayton told Sports Mole.

Clayton beat Jonathan Francois in his first match in Glasgow.
