Nicola Adams: 'I will do my talking in the ring'

Team England boxer Nicola Adams refuses to be drawn on the strength of her opponent for Commonwealth Games gold - Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh.

Team England boxer Nicola Adams has vowed to do her talking "in the ring" when she meets Michaela Walsh in the final of the women's flyweight division at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.

Adams is the overwhelming favourite to claim gold, but Walsh's performances in Glasgow have drawn a host of admiring glances.

"We will see what happens on the day, once we get into the ring tomorrow. I don't really do that much talking about my opponents outside the ring, I just let everything get resolved in there," she told reporters.

Adams also said that it would "mean everything" to add a Commonwealth gold to her medal collection.

"It would mean everything to me. It would be another chance to make history and I cannot wait. I am excited," she added.

Adams is the current Olympic champion.
