Georgina Hockenhull claims bronze for Wales in women's beam

Wales gymnast Georgina Hockenhull wins a bronze medal in the final of the women's beam while Canada's Elsabeth Black takes the gold at the Commonwealth Games.

Wales's Georgina Hockenhull has claimed a bronze medal in the final of the women's beam as Canada's Elsabeth Black won gold at the event in the Commonwealth Games.

Black produced an excellent performance on the beam in the last display to win the gold with a score of 14.900, which blew away the rest of the field.

Australia's Mary Anne Monckton had held the lead until Black's performance, but was forced to settle for silver, while Hockenhull won bronze with a score of 13.466.

Wales's Elizabeth Beddoe finished in fourth place, while England's Claudia Fragapane and Becky Downie placed in fifth and eighth respectively.
