Draymond Green to stay with Golden State Warriors

Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green insists that he is not planning on leaving the team, despite being a free agent this offseason.

Draymond Green has insisted that he will be staying with the Golden State Warriors for next season.

The power forward is due to become a restricted free agent this summer, but secured a place in the starting lineup throughout the playoffs, helping the Western Conference champions clinch their first NBA title in 40 years.

The 25-year-old told the San Jose Mercury News: "I'll be here. I love this group of guys."

In an interview with KNBR Radio, he added: "I don't want to pretend I'm going anywhere."

Green averaged 37.3 points per game in the playoffs for the Warriors.
