Kevin Love has been ruled out for four to six months after undergoing surgery on his dislocated left shoulder.
The Cleveland Cavaliers power forward suffered the injury during the team's first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics.
The team confirmed that the 26-year-old underwent the operation in New York earlier this week and will return to the team for rehabilitation.
Love, who was playing in the post-season for the first time in his seven-year NBA career, joined the Cavaliers in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves last off-season.
