NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers pick up wins

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Saturday's games in the NBA as the Golden State Warriors beat the Chicago Bulls for a franchise-record 12th straight win.

The Golden State Warriors set a new franchise record by beating the Chicago Bulls for their 12th win in a row in the NBA.

After falling behind in the first half, the Bulls dominated the third quarter as they tried to end the Warriors' recent run, but Draymond Green stepped up with a career-high 31 points to seal the win for the visitors.

The Philadelphia 76ers secured their second win of the season, beating the Detroit Pistons in overtime to move to 2-18 this season.

A big third quarter from the Pistons appeared to secure the win, but Hollis Thompson got the Sixers back on level terms late in the fourth quarter, before Nerlens Noel and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope lifted the visitors to victory in overtime.

The Houston Rockets held off a strong finish from the Phoenix Suns to claim their fourth consecutive victory.

The hosts never trailed, and had built up a lead of 22 points before a late surge cut their advantage to just four, but Pat Beverley made a string of free throws to put the win beyond doubt.

The San Antonio Spurs cruised to a comfortable win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, despite missing several players through injury.

Marco Belinelli stepped up with Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker both out, leading the team with 20 points as the champions wrapped up their 15th win of the season.

The Los Angeles Clippers made it seven wins in a row as they eased past the New Orleans Pelicans.

The starters put the home side 16 points up in the first quarter, but the reserves could not stop the Pelicans getting back on level terms by half time.

Blake Griffin and JJ Redick found their shooting form again after the break though to restore LA's advantage and secure the win.

The Orlando Magic sealed their first win in five games with a victory over the Sacramento Kings.

The visitors were ahead early on, and led by 16 points at the start of the fourth quarter before the Kings fought back, but Channing Frye added a timely three-pointer to keep them ahead.
