Denise Lewis has suggested that the World Championships' women's heptathlon is likely to go down to the wire.
Jessica Ennis-Hill leads from British teammate Katarina Johnson-Thompson after two of the seven events.
Lewis, who won Olympic gold in 2000, has said that while Ennis-Hill looks strong, the heptathlon is likely to be in the balance until the finale.
She told BBC Sport: "It's going to go down to the wire, I think. But it's great to see Jessica Ennis-Hill back at the top for now.
"She had a great first two events. In the hurdles, I'd say she was a little disappointed with her time, but she still ran under 13 seconds. After what she's been through, with having her baby, and the injuries she's suffered as well, it's a fine achievement.
"To back that up with another solid performance in the high jump, I thought was very, very good. She looks strong, she looks in control and she looks relaxed out there."
Johnson-Thompson managed to jump 1.89m in the high jump, despite struggling with her run-up throughout the competition.
