Louise Bloor: "Incredible time for women's sprinting"

Talking to Sports Mole, Team GB's Louise Bloor hails the quality of women's sprinting in this country.

Louise Bloor has insisted that it is currently an "incredible time for women's sprinting" in Great Britain.

The 29-year-old made the claim following her performance in the 100m heats at this afternoon's British Athletics Championships, where she qualified for the semi-finals alongside the likes of Dina Asher-Smith and Asha Philip.

"It's an incredible time for women's sprinting, I just wish I could be up there with them. The talent coming through is amazing. It's such a great thing because I grew up with people who would run the odd 11.10s, but that is being bettered regularly," she told Sports Mole.

"The men's 100m final is always last because they want to keep the audience in, but I like to think we are turning the attention towards women's sprinting. There's some top girls coming through like Dina and Asher - they deserve so much credit."

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Asher-Smith told Sports Mole earlier today that she still has "quite a way to go".
