Hannah Cockroft: 'This was reward for years of training'

Hannah Cockroft believes that she has got her reward for four years of full-time training.

Hannah Cockroft has said that her two Paralympic gold medals are her reward for four years of hard work every day in training.

Cockroft, who streaked to victory in the T34 200m final this evening, also suggested that she might take a night off from training regimes and diets.

"[It could have been better], I could have done a world record!" Cockroft said. "I was so nervous for this final. Although it was my best event it was the others girls' favourite and best event too.

"This has been four years of training every day. [It took] a certain diet, eating habits, sleeping habits. No partying; but that's all going to change tonight!"

Cockroft's gold was ParalympicsGB's 29th of the Games so far.
