Andy Turner's last race at a major championship has ended in failure after he was unable to qualify for the 110m hurdles final in Zurich.
The 33-year-old, who announced yesterday that he will retire at the end of the year, finished seventh in tonight's semi-finals at the European Championships.
The race was won by favourite Pascal Martinot-Lagarde in 13.17s, while Hungry's Balazs Baji finished second and Dimitri Bascou crossed the finish line in third.
Great Britain's Turner failed to retain his title at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last month after hitting a hurdle during his heat.
