The Olympic Stadium will play host to this year's British Athletics London Grand Prix.
The event, which is part of the Diamond League series, is usually held at Crystal Palace but organisers have announced that the Grand Prix will move to the famous ground on the anniversary weekend of the London 2012 opening ceremony.
Olympic champion Jessica Ennis said: "It is brilliant to hear that the British Athletics London GP is going to be held at the Olympic Stadium a year after the Games.
"It will give athletes and fans who did not get to experience the amazing venue the chance to go there, and for those of us who had the most incredible experiences on the track and field, an opportunity to re-live a few memories."
Fans who have already purchased tickets for the Crystal Palace venue on July 27 will be able to get a refund and will have first option on tickets for the Olympic Stadium.
