Jenson Button to compete in London Marathon

McLaren driver Jenson Button will race for the Cancer Research UK team in this year's London Marathon.

Former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button will compete at this year's London Marathon.

The 35-year-old has never entered the race before, although he has taken part in a number of marathons and has a personal best of 2:58 hours.

He will compete for the Cancer Research UK team in a bid to raise £5,000 for the charity.

In the more immediate future, Button will be racing for McLaren in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix next weekend.
