David Rudisha happy with form after semi-final win at Commonwealth Games

David Rudisha declares himself pleased with his form ahead of the 800m final at the Commonwealth Games.

Kenya's David Rudisha has revealed that he is comfortable with the way he is performing after booking his spot in the 800m final at the Commonwealth Games.

The Olympic champion was barely troubled as he cruised to victory in the first semi-final on Wednesday night, and he is confident that his previous poor form is behind him ahead of tomorrow's battle for medals.

"Today it was tough because the semi-finals you have to approach with caution so I ran from the front and controlled the race," Rudisha told BBC Sport. "I feel my body is responding well, and I'm feeling better which is pleasing.

"I am expecting another good race in the final, there are some really tough guys in there."

Botswana's Nijel Amos, considered Rudisha's closest challenger for gold, won the second semi-final of the night.
