Usain Bolt: 'I did my talking on the track'

Usain Bolt insists that he answered his critics with his gold-medal winning display in the 100m final tonight.

Usain Bolt believes that he answered his critics with his performance in the final of tonight's 100m.

A number of pundits and media reports had questioned whether or not the 25-year-old could defend the crown that he won in Beijing four years ago.

However, the Jamaican sprinter claimed the second Olympic gold of his career in a Games record time of 9.63 seconds in front of a capacity London crowd.

"I was slightly worried about my start. I didn't want to false start again. I excuted and that's the key," he told BBC Sport.

"I've said everything on the track. All people can do is talk."

Bolt will also look to double up in the 200m later this week.
