Bouabdellah Tahri targets Olympic gold

Experienced Bouabdellah Tahri confirms that he will compete in the steeplechase at the next Olympic Games in Brazil.

Bouabdellah Tahri has revealed that his intention is to compete in the steeplechase at 2016 Olympic Games.

The 35-year-old Frenchman has not competed in the event for over three years, having instead raced over both shorter and longer distances.

However, with medals already in his collection from the European and World Championships, Tahri has expressed his determination to win through in Brazil.

"My goal is to win the Olympics in Rio - the only medal missing from my trophy cabinet," he told Republicain Lorrain.

Tahri has competed at two previous Olympics, although he did not feature in London two years ago.
