Tiffany Porter through to hurdles semi-finals

Tiffany Porter clocks the quickest time in qualifying to advance through to the semi-finals of the 100m women's hurdles in Zurich.

Great Britain's Tiffany Porter reached the semi-finals of the 100m women's hurdles at the European Athletics Championships this afternoon.

The 26-year-old, who was born in the USA, clocked a time of 12.69s, which was quicker than any of her fellow competitors throughout the qualifying process.

"I'm really happy with it. I just hope to keep getting better in every round. I am always most nervous before the first round, so I was really pleased to go out there and get it out of the way," she told BBC Sport after the race.

Porter recently won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
