Host nation Australia enjoyed a memorable second day at the 2018 Commonwealth Games as they stormed to the top of the medal table thanks largely to their success in the pool.
The Aussies won no fewer than six golds at the Optus Aquatics Centre - including five in a row to finish the night - and were further helped along by their performances at the Velodrome as they claimed their 100th Commonwealth cycling gold medal.
Closest rivals England will have the chance to fight back on day three, though, with the likes of the Brownlee brothers, Adam Peaty and Sophie Thornhill - all already Commonwealth and Olympic champions - among those in action.
