Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has insisted that the team are beginning to play as a unit and expects results to improve sooner rather than later.
Should the Skins beat the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night they will achieve back-to-back wins for the first time this season, with Griffin confident that the defense and offense are now working as a unit.
"I think that it's just the offense starting to gel," he told the club's official website. "As a team our defense is playing really well for us, getting turnovers, getting us the ball in good situations on the field. We're winning those areas and I think we are coming together more as a team.
"I think that the team is just starting to feel a lot better about itself. Defense is playing well, offense is getting in a rhythm, and we've won a couple of tough games. I think that's where guys can kind of feel like, 'hey, we can go on a run here and put ourselves in a good situation.'"
The Redskins are 3-5 for the season, while the Vikings have lost seven of eight.
