The Washington Redskins lead the Minnesota Vikings by 10 points at the break in their NFL clash.
The Redskins took the lead when they took advantage of an interception by Brandon Meriweather but they couldn't score a touchdown and were forced into a 20-yard field goal from Kai Forbath.
Minnesota responded with a lengthy drive which was finished by an 18-yard run for a touchdown by Adrian Peterson for his eighth rushing score of the season.
However, Washington came roaring back into the game as Robert Griffin III fired to Pierre Garcon on a screen pass and he went in for a nine-yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter.
The Vikings kept the scoreboard changing as Christian Ponder and Peterson moved their side downfield with ease before the quarterback found wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson in the endzone for a two-yard touchdown off play-action.
Griffin and his offense upped the ante towards the end of the half as they put 14 points on the board, first with an 11-yard strike to tight end Jordan Reed on a slant route and then his compatriot as his position Logan Paulsen got a one-yard score with 10 seconds remaining.
