Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis has denied that he has asked for a trade from the club.
The Redskins are reportedly listening to offers for the 27-year-old as he has fallen behind Jordan Reed and Logan Paulsen in the depth chart for Mike Shanahan's side.
"I didn't request anything," Davis told 106.7 The Fan. "I mean, I thought everything was going the right way.
"I thought everything was pretty good preseason and heading into the season, and other than that, I guess they just feel they had a better option in Jordan [Reed] and Logan [Paulsen] playing, and I wish I could help the team any way I could.
"I know for sure I know I can whenever I get an opportunity, but it just hasn't been the case these few games I haven't been playing."
Davis has three receptions for 25 yards this season.
