Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh McCown has admitted that he is feeling emotionally "hurt" by his side's poor record this season.
The 35-year-old was seen sobbing following the Buccaneers' loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday as Lovie Smith's men fell to 1-8 in the campaign.
When asked why he was so emotional, McCown told reporters: "One and eight. One and eight. You want to give your teammates and your coaches and your fans and your family and everybody here better than that. It just hurts. It hurts.
"You realise the fans. They come to the game. Whatever's going on in their life, they want to come be in this stadium to watch us win football games and bring them joy.
"To not be able to give that to ourselves, our teammates, our coaches, our fans, it just hurts."
The Buccaneers face the Washington Redskins in their next time out in week 11.
