San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman tore his ACL and MCL during his side's NFC championship defeat, according to a report.
The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of their clash with the Seattle Seahawks when the linebacker ripped the ball from the hands of Jermaine Kearse on a fourth down play and got his leg caught and twisted under the receiver and a pile of players.
Bowman was carted from the field and tests have proven today that he has torn the ligaments in his knee and will be out for six months, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
The 25-year-old had 145 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions in the 2013 regular season and was also voted as an All-Pro.
