Marcus Lattimore: 'Jadeveon Clowney's work ethic is fine'

San Francisco 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore insists that Jadeveon Clowney has the work ethic to succeed in the NFL.

San Francisco 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore is adamant that former South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has the appetite to thrive in the NFL.

Lattimore played with the 21-year-old at the Gamecocks for two seasons, and he believes that suggestions questioning Clowney's work ethic will prove to be wrong over time.

"He loves football," he told Sirius XM NFL Radio. "That guy loves football and that's why he's striving to be great.

"Once he gets around those veteran guys — say he gets around J.J. Watt, he's going to see all the success he's had, and all his practice habits, and what he has to do, he's going to feed on that and he's going to be fine."

Lattimore missed the 2013 season due to injury.
